Medical Appointment Transport — Stretcher Service in Toronto & GTA

Dialysis, chemotherapy, imaging, specialist visits. Your loved one can't travel in a regular vehicle — and you may not be able to take a full day off to drive and wait.

We provide stretcher transport to the appointment, and you choose how the return works — a simple drop-off, a Reserved Treat & Return that keeps your crew and vehicle with you for the whole appointment, or for particularly long appointments, two separately scheduled trips. You don't have to choose between being at work and being there.

Transportation & Safety During Medical Treatment

For patients in active treatment, getting to and from an appointment isn't a small logistical detail. It's a real physical challenge.

After a long treatment session, patients are often depleted — too exhausted to sit upright for the ride home. Dialysis runs for three to four hours. Chemotherapy leaves people drained. The journey home is not the time to test whether they can manage.

Getting in and out of a standard car requires stepping, balancing, and steadying. These are high-risk movements for older patients, those recovering from procedures, or anyone with reduced strength.

Most families can't take the whole day off for every appointment, every week. And even when they can, safely lifting or steadying a loved one into a vehicle is not something most people are prepared to do without training.

Treatment is demanding enough. Travel shouldn't add to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much notice do I need? We recommend at least 24 hours in advance when possible. For recurring treatments like dialysis or oncology, booking the full schedule upfront makes coordination much easier. Same-day requests may be possible depending on availability — call us to check.

What are my options for the return trip? You have three options. 1. One-Way Transfer — we take your loved one to the appointment; you arrange the way home. 2. Reserved Treat & Return — we hold your crew and vehicle for the full appointment, so the return pickup is guaranteed. 3. Two Scheduled Trips — for particularly long appointments, we schedule the return as a separate trip at an agreed time after drop-off.

Do I need to book the return trip separately? No — tell us which option you want at the time of your initial booking and we'll arrange it as part of the same call. If you choose Reserved Treat & Return, that crew and vehicle are held for you through the appointment regardless of how long it runs. If your appointment is particularly long, ask about Two Scheduled Trips instead: we schedule the return as a separate trip with its own agreed pickup time after drop-off.

Is this service covered by insurance? Coverage varies by plan. Some extended health, private insurance, and employer benefit plans include non-emergency medical transport — it's worth checking before assuming it's fully out of pocket. We can provide service documentation for reimbursement claims. We don't bill insurers directly.

Can I set up recurring transport for ongoing treatment? Yes, and it's often easier that way. For patients on a fixed treatment schedule — dialysis, chemo, radiation — we can lock in a recurring booking so you're not arranging each trip individually. Call us to discuss your schedule.
